One Tree Hill

My sister is obsessed with One Tree Hill. She has been talking about the season premiere for weeks, and essentially live blogged the entire episode on Facebook. I, for one, cannot believe that show is even still on! It’s been on for years, and I actually tuned in for a few episodes in the beginning. It was fairly innocuous at that point—it chronicled a bunch of high schoolers living in the town of Tree Hill and was a little reminiscent of Beverly Hills: 90210 for me. And that’s where things all started going downhill. It quickly became an insufferable soap opera of love triangles and rampant depression. And now, it’s been on for years and just keeps getting worse. The plot lines are completely unrealistic, and the characters are actually pretty terrible as well. There is not much redeeming about that show for me, other than the fact that soundtrack is pretty great. Luckily, I’ve been told this is the final season. The promos are all encouraging everyone to come back for “one final visit to Tree Hill.” Uh, no thanks. I’ll watch 90210 reruns and call it a day.
